EUROPEAN MUSIC HISTORY&APPRECIATION - HSS200 Spring 2021
Course

This course will introduce students to the world of music through listening and analysis, discussions, history context and visits of live concerts. After a brief introduction of music elements, forms and instruments, the course will provide an overview of major historical periods in East and Central Europe (Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and the 20th Century), and their major representatives and compositions.
