Instructions for students Dear students, please read the instructions below before you upload your Thesis to NEO: The Thesis submission deadline is May 12, 2023 for June graduates and August 11, 2023 for September graduates PLEASE NOTE THAT BESIDES UPLOADING YOUR THESIS TO NEO, YOU WILL SEND AN ELECTRONIC VERSION (IN ONE PDF DOCUMENT) TO THE SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM, MEDIA AND VISUAL ART STUDIES VIA E-MAIL TO DARIA SHAKUROVA AT daria.shakurova@aauni.edu The electronic versions must be sent to the School of Journalism, Media and Visual Art Studies Dean's Office by 16:00 on May 12 for June graduates and August 11 for September graduates, or any day before the deadline. The deadline for uploading Thesis to NEO is 23:59 the same day. How to upload the Thesis: Go to NEO and find the assignment called THESIS Upload your Thesis in Word format (not pdf) via Turnitin Please note that you have only two attempts to upload your Thesis The uploaded Thesis must be identical to the electronic version that you submit to the School of Journalism, Media and Visual Art Studies. Do not leave uploading to the last minute; allow yourself enough time in case any technical complications occur. Once you have upload your Thesis, you should be able to see the results from Turnitin within 5 - 10 minutes Click on VIEW SUBMISSION to see the results of the similarity check Instructions for faculty (advisors and opponents) Dear advisors and opponents, Please read the instructions for how to download the Thesis and submit your reviews below: Thesis submission deadline for students is set for May 12, 2023 for June graduates and August 11, 2023 for September graduates. Once the Thesis is submitted to Turnitin, you can download and review it. All critiques/reviews must be first sent to SJMVA Office via e-mail by May 29, 2023 for June graduates and August 27, 2023 for September graduates. Please note that we have only one Thesis review form that you need to submit. No additional rubrics are necessary. You should upload your critique/review to NEO on May 29, 2023 or August 27, 2023 for September graduates (by 23:59 that day). The state exams are set for June 8-9, 2023 for Spring graduates and September 7-8 for Summer graduates. How to download the Thesis: Sign in to NEO and go to your THESIS course Click on ASSIGNMENTS to see the list of assignments Choose THESIS Click on the 'To Grade' tab Click on PDF icon next to the student's name to download the document (this may take a minute) Click on the percentage number next to the student's name in order to see the similarity report You can also use a hard copy (available in the SJMVA Office) for your review How to upload your Thesis critique/review on NEO: Click on ASSIGNMENTS to see the list of assignments Choose ADVISOR - REVIEW or OPPONENT - REVIEW according to your role Click on TO GRADE tab Click on the "pencil" icon in the row for the respective student Fill in the suggested grade at the top of the page. Use number according to the syllabus grading scale. Go to COMMENTS section on the same page (lower right corner) and click on the Paper icon to UPLOAD FILE Choose the relevant document you want to upload Click SAVE Click POST For more information about the State exams and Thesis, please go to our AAUNET page.
