Anglo-American University (AAU) is a modern institution of higher learning based in Prague, Czechia. Inspired by liberal arts traditions found in British and American academia, it was established in 1990 as the first university in the country to employ English as the medium of instruction and today offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across three schools of study.

The AAU campus is housed in the Neoclassical Thurn-Taxis Palace and sits in the heart of the gorgeous city center. Since 2016, the school has enjoyed the distinction of being the only university in the country to be recognized by both the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) in the United States and the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education in the Czech Republic.

With members from over 80 countries, the AAU community is diverse and inclusive, marked by an ethos that prizes critical thinking, effective communication, and personal transformation.
